Janet Walsh, AWS, DF was President Emeritus of the American Watercolor Society. Janet studied at the School of Visual Arts and the
the Art Students League in New York City.
She has taught watercolor workshops through the United States, France, England, Ireland and Spain. Besides teaching and painting, Janet juries and judges many regional and national art shows. The author of "Watercolor Made Easy" she has five instructional watercolor
DVD's on her painting approaches and techniques.
Watercolor Magazine selected Janet as one of the America's top watercolor instructors. In addition she has written six articles on still life painting for Watercolor Magazine. Her work has also been publishedin Artist Magazine (cover), Leisure Painter (England) and L'Art Des Aquarellistes (France), Painting with the White of Your Paper, Flowers in Watercolor, Fresh Flowers, Watercolor for the Serious Beginner and Watercolor Magic.
Her works are in the collection of the National Watercolor Museum, Mexico City, Progresso and Pfizer Corporations, Avon Corporation,
Leroy Springs & Company and many others. Janet participated in the "Watercolor Masters" twice in Najing, China and in the first
Shanghai Zhujiajiao International Watercolor Biennial.
